Confidence and Focus to Dream Big and make it happen

Focus and Implementation

Can you relate to any of these scenarios? You know your vision and your goals, BUT
… you are finding it slightly scary. You do really truly want to do it. But somehow, it’s not happening. Your business is idling.
… you have great ideas but not much is coming to fruition.
… you feel alone and making all the decisions can become quite stressful.
… you’ve got so many other great ideas you can add to it that you’re not getting on with the core activity you need to do to make this happen.
… you’ve got so many things to do, you feel overwhelmed, over worked, pulled in all directions and have no time to do anything properly.

Get focused, take action and make it happen with tough love (support and accountability) coaching from Sue.

Make your business happen, aligned with:
your vision and purpose
your values
your strengths and talents
your desired life/work balance
the environment and culture where you thrive

Align your team
Yes, this applies to you even when you are a one-women business! Consider who is in your team.
Think wide and out of the box.
What happens when you starting thinking of your customers and clients as part of your team – they are vital for your business success.

Set goals and develop your strategy
Identify your priorities
Overcome hurdles
Create systems and processes

Focus and Implement Coaching Programme

The programme starts with setting your strong foundation, as we do with all 1:1 business coaching (see below), and then is structured around a framework for you to

  • Clarify your goal.
  • Identify the most important projects that will get you to achieve that goal.
  • Identify the resources you need and the best way to use them.
  • Focus on your priorities without being distracted by other great ideas, other people’s agendas or your own self-talk and fears that sabotage your plans.
  • Test out ideas for making it happen. Try “thought experiments” on different approaches, strategies, processes, and find a way that will work for you.
  • IMPLEMENT all you need to do to make your projects succeed.
  • BE ACCOUNTABLE. I’m here to help you keep on track and on time. At every session we review your action plan from last time, and explore what went well and what didn’t and why. How can you replicate success? What can you learn from when things didn’t go as planned? What needs to change? What extra resources do you need to get over the hurdle of doing the things you find scary?

"The greater danger for most of us lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low, and achieving our mark. " Michelangelo

The coaching programmes are not for those who want an easy route. This is for women who know that they cannot do this on their own any longer. It’s for women who want to see results and are willing to put effort in to get their desired results (whilst getting the ‘tough love’ that will see them succeed).

Business Coaching

1:1 coaching where the focus is led by you – what do you need in order to get from where you are now to where you want to be? All content and frameworks from the confidence and implementation programmes are available and much more.

We start with a strategy session to identify where you are now, and where you want to get to, how you will recognise that and what success looks like and feels like.

We first review your personal core values, strengths, motivators and vision to establish a strong foundation to support you long into the future. This self awareness helps you focus on the right goals for you, to give you the energy you need to invest in your business. This approach brings you more fulfilment, enjoyment and success in whatever way you choose to measure it. Many people have not considered their business from this perspective and find it illuminating and worth investing time to reflect on it fully. If you are already aware of your own strengths, values, motivations and vision then the value comes when you to share that with me, so we are working together with clarity and focus on where you want to get to.

"I am the managing director of a small consultancy company. I have a tendency to take on too much, not delegate well and also have a young son so a business and family to juggle. Sue has helped me focus a lot on what I need to do to make my company more successful and my work life balance better.

Sue has provided a great deal of help and we spent several sessions talking about my management style, the structure of the business, the way I manage and motivate staff and my work life balance. I have implemented a lot of the things we discussed. Some have been implemented and slipped a little, so I need to get back on track. Overall, since I started with Sue I have taken on one extra member of the team and have successfully been awarded a grant of £60k for the creation of 6 new jobs over the next two years. We have also doubled our income. Sue's input into this has been to take me out of the frantic daily schedule and take stock of what I needed to do to achieve this.

Sue's been a great coach. She did not direct me but forced me to face up to all the issues head on and devise my own solutions which I knew but needed a bit of time out to face up to and commit to. I had sessions with Sue by phone and in person. Sue has been very diligent in following up with me and confirming everything I committed to do. " CS, West Scotland. Managing Director, Consultancy.

The value of accountability to achieve your aspirations.

Accountability to your coach really does make the difference for getting things done! The Institute for Applied Emotional Intelligence did research into the chances of people achieving their goals depending on how they set them (Wiseman 2004)

You have an idea (what you will do) 10%
Decide when you will do it 40%
Plan how you will do it 50%
Commit to someone else you will do it 65%
Have a specific accountability appointment with the person you’ve committed to 95%
